Eligibility
To be eligible for this position, you need to have the following
- At least one to two years of experience in a production/heavy equipment setting.
- Have a degree in mechanical engineering
- Be highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
- Have the ability to juggle different priorities while remaining structured.
- You need to possess exceptional interpersonal skills and the capacity to communicate at multiple levels.
- You need to also demonstrate you have high-level computer abilities (including MS Office apps and/or others).
- Having Baan knowledge is considered an asset.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee technicians’ daily schedules to ensure that the workflow is properly assigned and divided to meet the deadlines.
- Oversee the creation of the necessary shop floor documents, such as production orders, operation notes, technical drawings, quality processes, and so on for components that will be repaired and remanufactured.
- Oversee the distribution of necessary shop floor papers to internal work centres and external subcontractors.
- Proactively discover and manage unavailable components (new and reconditioned) before issuing component and piece part work orders for production.
- Create planning scenarios based on component forecast variations, unanticipated demands, missing components, undercapacity, and other perplexing conditions.
- Oversee the timely collection and processing of completed work orders, operation notes, and timesheets to ensure correct work order planning, capacity, and inventory levels in the ERP system.
- Oversee the collection and archiving of completed quality documents to ensure traceability and accountability for final parts and components.
- Create weekly and monthly management reports that summarize component volumes, work center activity and productivity, work in progress levels, missing parts, order tardiness, and other planned KPls.
- Other obligations as assigned.
