Responsibilities/Roles

  • Move building items by loading, unloading, and moving them. Pick out tools, equipment, and supplies from storage and move them to the job spot.
  • Help make cuts in wood, panels, or lumber to the right sizes and drill holes in wood or lumber.
  • Help with cutting, shaping, and putting together wood, joint molds, and other related tasks.
  • Framing, building, and remodeling homes and other wood buildings with the help of tradesmen.
  • Remove dirt and grime from surfaces.
  • Help the team finish the rough and end steps of the frame.
  • Bring tools, nails, glue, board sheets, and other things to the job spot.
  • Deliver or hold goods or tools to help tradesmen, and help with other tasks as needed.
  • As told by tradesmen, do other things on building sites.

  • As per the joint agreement and the BC Employment Standards Act, 4% of the gross salary will be paid as vacation pay every pay period. Employees can choose to take 10 days of free vacation or 10 days of paid vacation with no vacation pay with their total salary.
